Do you see what I see?

Yes, these are the Flatirons. But do you see what I see? Do you see the tension between beauty and adventure they so gracefully bear? Do you see the dusting of snow that carefully covers only a portion of each rock? Do you see this rare gift? Do you see this couldn't be coincidence? Do you see the work of God's hands? Start looking...at the sunrise, clouds, mountains, moon and sunsets...do you see?

TRUST...

"Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen to God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one that will keep you on track." Proverbs 3:5-6 The Message

God has given us a promise of hope and has said that he works all things for good; that is, there is nothing in our lives God doesn't use to draw us closer to Him. We know that we see in part and hear in part, and, frankly, it all doesn't make sense all of the time. But, onward we walk down the path of life...trusting...in His goodness.

Life and Cherries

"Life is like a bowl of cherries..." I admit, I am skeptical whether this adage is really true. But, if life is like a bowl of cherries, then, like the sign says, we better ask for help. We shouldn't go eating our way through life without others. Yes, ask for help, ask for company, ask for advice, ask for love. There are so many people around us that love us dearly and I think that life is not only about giving love, but also about receiving it.

Grey's and the Fray

And another thought...I love this song and I love Grey's. This video is a perfect combo. Enjoy :)

Bolivian Thoughts

I often think about this image and the idea that sometime we can't always see what is there - but that doesn't change the fact that it is truth and will always be there. Beautiful mountains, green grass, and steams are behind all these clouds, but they were changing constantly to reveal different views and different qualities of that scene.

A new year, a new commitment to this blog!

I abandoned this blog after starting it last year, but I have decided to keep it updated this year - I can't promise everyday like many of you crazy bloggers, but I will do it. I am hoping to figure out how to upload pictures so I can share my trip to Bolivia. More to come...

Is anybody there?

Whoa, I just started a blog. Was that a good idea? Hmmm. Let's just see where this little adventure takes me...
